God made us to do work that matters. When our time is spent passively absorbing content, it undermines that purpose and leads to material and spiritual loss. Poverty, depression, and hopelessness are among the dangers of the sin of sloth. Church can often become about passively absorbing things, too, and the results are deadly. It's time to rediscover a biblical work ethic not only for individuals but for local congregations as well.
